Tourism Minister Harin Fernando has listed down 8 reasons why he is happy with the decision he took to support President Ranil Wickremesinghe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a Facebook post the Minister said that he is humble yet ecstatic that he was able to give his utmost contribution for the people during the last 3 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reasons listed by Harin Fernando in his post:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. We put a halt to the era of queues.<\/li>
  2. We started distributing fertilizer for agriculture.<\/li>
  3. We were able to control the skyrocketing price of goods, and could reduce the prices of some essentials even by a small margin.<\/li>
  4. We were able to negotiate to reverse travel restrictions imposed by countries worldwide, and tourists have started visiting us again.<\/li>
  5. I could contribute to the release of my dear friend Ranjan Ramanayake.<\/li>
  6. Successfully incorporating the 22nd amendment.<\/li>
  7. IMF discussions being a success.<\/li>
  8. Being able to resume local and foreign investment opportunities.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
