The religious segment which is part of the anniversary celebrations of the Sri Lanka Navy commenced with the Kanchuka Puja at Ruwanwelisaya and Flag Blessing ceremony at sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi on 09th<\/sup>\u00a0and 10th<\/sup>\u00a0November. Meanwhile, the Joint Christian Commemoration & Thanksgiving Service was held at St. Lucia\u2019s Cathedral in Kotahena on 18th November. Further, the all-night Pirith Chanting and Alms Giving for the members of Ven. Maha Sangha were held on 25th<\/sup>\u00a0and 26th<\/sup>\u00a0November in the Welisara Naval Complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Hindu Puja was conducted by the Priest Naajendran Sharma Surendran and the event was presided by the Chief of Staff of the Navy Rear Admiral Priynatha Perera.
