Rishi Sunak, who is of Indian origin, will be the next Prime Minister of Britain, the country’s government officially announced today.

He will be sworn in next Friday, October 28. Sunak had the support of 200 MPs and only 26 MPs opposed.

Rishi Sunak, who is of Indian origin, will become the new Prime Minister of Britain, filling the vacancy of the leader of the Conservative Party.

Rishi Sunak’s parents were residents of Punjab and migrated to Britain before Sunak was born.
