The Immigration Unit of Katunayake Airport stated that he was diverted as he had a foreign travel ban.
Regarding this, Mr. Ranjan Ramanayake said that he had been banned from traveling abroad in connection with a case filed regarding a rice distribution incident during the last Corona virus.
Mr. Ranjan Ramanayake also mentioned that even though the case has been closed, the foreign travel ban has been lifted, but the relevant departments have not been informed about it.
