Former Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has tested positive for Covid-19.
According to a media statement issued by the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), Sirisena will refrain from public appearances and political engagement until he fully recovers from the illness.
According to an SLFP spokesperson, the former President is currently at his residence.
