A delegation led by the High Commissioner of Australia to Sri Lanka, H.E. Paul Stephens met with Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne at the Navy Headquarters on 18th November 2022.
The occasion turned out to be the first official interaction between the Australian High Commissioner and Commander of the Navy, after H.E. Paul Stephens assumed office as the Australian envoy to Sri Lanka. Their discussion mainly focused on several matters of bilateral importance. Defence Advisor at the Australian High Commission in Sri Lanka, Captain Ian Cain and First Secretary Australian Border Force, Mr Brett Zehnder were also present on this occasion.
At the end of the cordial discussion Commander of the Navy presented a memento to the Australian High Commissioner, symbolizing camaraderie and goodwill.
