ARMY MEMBERS AWARDED  NVQ LEVEL 3 & 4 CERTIFICATES

The National Vocational Qualification Level 4 and Level 3 (NVQ) Certificates awarding Ceremony got underway on 27 December at Army Headquarters in the presence of Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Commander of the Army as the Chief Guest.

The certificates were awarded to 30 recipients of Army personnel who followed various courses and obtained NVQ level 4 and 3 Qualification.

The Ranaviru Resource Centre was established in 2013 in collaboration with the Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka (VTA) to enhance the professional qualification of differently abled officers & other ranks, on service and retired tri forces, Sri Lanka Police, Civil Security Department personnel.

At the moment, Ranaviru Resource Centre conducts 9 professional Courses Such as Landscaping Technician Course, Mobile Phone Repairer Course, Carpentry (Building) Course, Computer Application Assistant Course, Electronic Appliances Technician Course, Aluminium Fabrication Course, Computer Hardware Course, Hair And Beautician Course, Three Wheel & Motor Bike Repairer Course.

The lectures are conducted by   well-qualified instructors of the Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka (VTA) comprising the theoretical package and practical package while  all the exams and assessments are conducted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).

Since 2013, 1963 Officers and Other Ranks of the tri forces, Sri Lanka Police and Civil Security Department have successfully followed the above Courses and have received the NVQ Level 3 and 4 qualification.
