A National Defence University (NDU) delegation from the People’s Republic of China on 23rd June 2023 visited the Navy Headquarters. The 56-member delegation, led by Major General Zhang Changsheng, is currently in Sri Lanka, as part of the study tour from 21 to 24th June.
Meanwhile, the head of the NDU delegation called on Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera and held a cordial discussion. During the formal interaction, they exchanged views on several matters of bilateral importance. The cordial discussion culminated with an exchange of mementoes.
Moreover, the Deputy Chief of Staff and Director General Operations of the Navy, Rear Admiral Pradeep Rathnayake briefed the NDU delegation about role and task, organizational structure and bilateral cooperation between China and Sri Lanka.
