Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar urged Indian citizens to visit Sri Lanka during their next vacation.
He said it, emphasizing the strong ties between the two nations and India’s unwavering support during Sri Lanka’s recent economic woes.
Speaking at an event at IIM Mumbai, Dr. Jaishankar said ,”My first advice to you, the next time you want to take a holiday, go to Sri Lanka. I’m serious. Please go to Sri Lanka. I say this to all of you.”
Responding to questions from students at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Mumbai on ‘India’s role in the global stage’, Dr. Jaishankar provided a detailed account of the economic woes faced by Sri Lanka during this time, and the unwavering support extended by India.
