The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) has issued a clarification following recent media reports alleging the misuse of its aircraft for presidential campaign purposes.

In a statement posted on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), the SLAF emphasized that aircraft are made available to presidential candidates strictly on a payment basis and in accordance with standard procedures.

The issue gained attention after media outlets speculated that state resources were being used to support campaign activities. The SLAF’s statement aims to dispel concerns, reaffirming that no state funds are being improperly utilized for political purposes.
