Coinciding with the forthcoming festive season, Army Christian Fellowship this year also organized the annual Christmas Carols in the evening of 20th December 2022 at the Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre, Colombo.
The event that was organized on the theme “For to Us a Child is Born” to give the people an opportunity to enjoy the Christmas spirit was graced by the Secretary of Defence, Major General Kamal Gunaratne (Retd) WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc MPhil as the chief guest.
At the invitation of the Chairman and members of the Army Christian Fellowship, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil along with his spouse Mrs Sujeewa Nelson, Commander of the Army and his spouse, past Commanders of the Army, and senior officers of the Sri Lanka Army irrespective of their religion attended the event.
Giving a novel experience before the audience, members of the Army Band, sang odes to Prince of the Peace, Jesus Christ.
