Staff Sergeant K.I.S Keerthirathna Completes His Foot Expedition to Dondra

The Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) of 3 Sri Lanka Signal Corps (3 SLSC) of the Security Force HQ-Jaffna who set off on a foot expedition to join the world records on Tuesday (5 Sep) reached his destination, Dondra this morning (16) as scheduled covering 580.16 km in distance.

The Staff Sergeant K.I.S Keerthirathna completed his foot expedition within 12 days after crossing Kilinochchi, Vavuniya, Medawachchiya, Anuradhapura, Kurunegala, Colombo, Aluthgama, Galle and Matara before he reached Dondra to be received in a warm reception.

Major General D.M.P.P Dasanayaka, Forward Maintenance Area (Central), Colonel A.K.D Adikari USP, Centre Commandant, Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Commanding Officer, 3 Signal Corps, and a large gathering of Officers and Other Ranks were at Sri Vishnu Maha Devala shrine in Dondra to extend their best wishes to Staff Sergeant K.I.S Keerthirathna.

Representative members of Serendib World Records Committee confirmed the admission to Serendib World Records and handed over his certificate at the same occasion.
