A special talent show presented by elders of the Sri Sadhdhathissa Elders community in Penatiyana of Welipitiya Divisional Secretariat in Matara District was held on October 24, 2023, at Sri Chethiyarama Temple, Penatiyana.
This special entertainment program was titled as “Issara Wage Ayemath “ (again, as in those days). Senior citizens of the Penatiyana village showcased their talents with dances, dramas, songs, and a more attention-grabbing flow of entertainment series.
The Issara wage Ayemath Elders talent show was an eye opener to the whole society with a message that elders should not be isolated at the eve of their life after thousands of commitments to families, society as well and the whole nation.
Mrs Thushari P. Sooriyaarachchi, Divisional Secretary, Welipitiya, graced the event as a chief guest with the invitation of Mrs.GDGKV Gamage ,Grama Niladhari Penatiyana-West, who guided these senior citizens to flashback on their talents to today.
