The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that once authenticated, these certificates will be emailed directly to the applicant, removing the need for in-person visits for submission or collection.
This online authentication service was launched by the Ministry in collaboration with the Registrar General’s Department.
To use the service, applicants should:
- Visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ official website and access the online application portal: https://mfa.gov.lk/online-consular-services/.
- After submitting the required details, applicants will receive a payment link. The fees for certificate generation and authentication can be paid online.
- Once the payment is made, the authenticated document (customer copy) will be sent to the applicant’s email address. This customer copy must be presented to relevant foreign missions if necessary.
